Volkswagen Bloomington Normal would like to introduce you to our accomplished president, Caroline Grossinger. Under her leadership and guidance, we have become recognized as a volume leader in our market. Much of our outstanding success has come from Caroline’s emphasis on employee and customer loyalty and satisfaction, and her constant encouragement for employees to continue “striving every day to find a better way.” This idea is also the mission statement of the Grossinger Auto Group. It’s because of this constant striving to be better that Volkswagen Bloomington-Normal is proud to be a member of the Grossinger Auto Group. Founded in 1928 and family operated since then, this group has become a nationally recognized company comprised of ten locations and twenty franchises. The various presidents and presidents over the years never forgot the humble beginnings and hard work that got the Grossinger Auto Group to where it is today, and that legacy of hands-on dedication is continued through Caroline Grossinger.
Caroline graduated with Magna cum Laude honors from Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She double majored in political science and economics, and she was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa Society, the oldest honor society for the liberal arts and sciences in the United States. From there, she completed the University of Chicago Masters of Business program while working full time. Caroline is now passionate about not only seeing the Grossinger Auto Group succeed, but making a difference in the communities in which the dealerships are located. She serves actively on the Chicago Children’s Choir Board of Directors, an organization dedicated to a cause she is very invested in. The Chicago Children’s Choir enriches the lives of over 4,000 youth in Chicago by offering them after-school programs centered around the arts, culture, and leadership to open up opportunities that they wouldn’t have access to otherwise. Caroline also works through her family’s charitable foundation, the Sam & Sarah Grossinger Foundation, which allows her to be actively involved in many different causes and communities around the nation.
Of course, Caroline Grossinger is also an accomplished businesswoman who excels at leadership, employee happiness, and customer service. She carries on the legacy of value, integrity, and success that is synonymous with the Grossinger name, and so has brought the Grossinger Auto Group high recognition as one of the top 100 Automotive Groups in the nation with the top largest revenue gains multiple years in a row. Caroline continues to run the business with individual attention to strategic comprehensive planning, employee and customer retention, and new growth opportunities. Caroline has had the honor of being elected to, or being asked to serve on, the Toyota Regional Dealer Council, the National Dealer Council Board of Directors for Capital One Bank, and many more, and she has served on the local board of Directors for United Way and is a current member of the Young President’s Organization.
